Dr. Denise Forte-Pathroff, M.D. is a Board Certified
Dermatologist who attended medical school at Tufts
University in Boston, Massachusetts. She interned in
Internal Medicine at Abington Memorial Hospital in
Pennsylvania, and completed her Dermatology residency at
Temple University in Philadelphia and the University of
Minnesota. Dr. Forte-Pathroff is also a Clinical
Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the
University of North Dakota.
DFP, Inc. is a corporation formed to serve her
dermatology patients. While a resident in Dermatology at
Temple University, Dr. Forte-Pathroff witnessed the
development of Alpha Hydroxy Acids for topical use. She
was able to use and test these Alpha Hydroxy Acids on
various skin conditions and was very impressed with the
results. This began her interest in topical therapy for
skin health. Today, Dr. Forte-Pathroff evaluates new
ingredients as soon as they are available and directs
the formulation of new products using these ingredients.
In addition to her complete therapeutic line, there is a
great line of color cosmetic available.
After many years of use, Dr. Forte-Pathroff has found
these products to be extremely well tolerated. With
proper use, irritation rarely occurs. As with any skin
product, patients are asked to begin slowly, first
applying the products to the inner arm to make sure
there are no irritations or allergies. The products
should then be applied every other day, working up to
daily use according to the directions for your skin
type. Remember your daily sunscreen, avoid peak sun
time, cover up, don’t burn, and never use tanning
booths. Please enjoy our wide selection of therapeutic
products and color cosmetics and watch for our patent
pending “sun and moon” directions. Use products marked
with a sun in the A.M., and products marked with a moon
in the P.M., and follow the number order.
